Letter of the Week Qq

We worked on the letter Qq last week and found it tricky giving little q nice long tails. We practised writing Q and q in rainbow letters, on little whiteboards, on laminated cards. We also formed the letter using little stones and clay. Then we took photos of items beginning with Q. We didn't find nearly as many as we did for C. Ms F is going to upload our photostory once we have recorded the audio and typed the labels on Wednesday. See if you can think of anything else beginning with Q that we missed?

Hello Room 8 children. I think you did a very good job with your photostory on Q. It is a very tricky letter to write and there are not too many nouns that start with q either. Do you know what a quail is? It is a type of bird. I don't know if you have them in New Zealand. We have a Californian Quail. These birds looks like little pheasants.
Keep up the great work my students will like visiting your blog.
